"Cidade de Deus"

Hi everyone!

Today I will tell you about one of my favorite movies: "City of God." I saw this movie a few time ago (last month), but in this moment I fall in love with it. I think that it is great and very exciting, because all the events that occur are based on a real life story. "City of God" or in Portuguese "Cidade de Deus" is a brazilian crime drama film that was adapted from a novel of the same name. The film focuses on the war between Zé Pequeño and Mane (known too as "Carrot"), developed in a favela in Rio de Janeiro called "City of God." However, all the story is narrated by a character named "Rocket" who always want to be a photographer. As he lived in the favela, was the only one who could take pictures for inside . Then "Rocket" could get to work on a newspaper, fulfilling his dream of becoming a photographer and journalist.

This film is very close to me, because I traveled with my family to Rio de Janeiro and we met so-called "favelas". However, this is a harsh reality that shows the other face of the popular tourist city.

I recommend everyone to see "City of God", sincerely is a excellent film. Not only will be entertain watching a movie, if  also serves to know a story that shocked Brazil some years ago.
